Morrill Suffers Loss. Fire at one o'clock last night gutted tho interior of tho barn on the premises of Dr. D. E. Morrill on west Fourth 8tret, causing a loss which is placed at about one thousand dollprs by the owner. The insurance held was $100 on tho building and $200 on the contents. Tho origin of the fire is n mystery, as the building is electrically lighted, and no other light had teen used. The lower floor of the barn had been used as a kindergarten room by Miss Alma Morrill and ope or two girl associates, and they had been in the building during tho early part of the evening nnd when leaving everything was in good shape. Tho fire started near a window on tho nllpy and may have been of incendiary orgin. On the second floor was stored tho winter clothing and furnishings of tho family, and these were completely des troyed, together with many other articles of value. The fire had gained considerable headway before discovered, but was quickly extinguished after tho arrival of tho hose company. Busy Day for Firemen. Sunday was a busy day for the fire laddies, no less than four alarms being turned in. The first was just before noon, duo to burning prairie near tho Standard oil tanks in tho oast end of the yards. A. B. Hoagland and othors extinguished the burninir crass. In the aftern6on tho Frank Kemp house near- the new round house was burnod to the ground, there not boiwr sufficient hose at hand to reach the building. Kemp succeeded in carrying out most of his furniture. Later in the afternoon a pile of tios in the east end of the rail road yards baught fire but the flames wore easily subdued. This is a fairy tale of the highest type, there are many fino scones. Ono of tho best is the opening showing a street. The denunciation lntor by tho witch of tho prince, where the latter is transformed into a boast and nil the court followers scatter in pnnic through the pillared corridors, is strong drnmntically. Another novel sccno is whore Beauty has gono to tho palnco to take upon her solf the penalty imposed by tho beast upon her father as n punishment for taking n rose from thu palnco gardons looks in the placid, dark waters of tho marblo rimmed pool and sees tho vision ot hor father ill at homo. It is a strik ing conception. Tho final picture, tho arrival of Beauty transformed into n princess, nnd the Boast rovorted tho prince, is full of charm. The court is drawn up in front of the palace. In tho back ground are statoly rows of trees and behind them a rango of mountains. Elsio Albert, who portrays Bonuty seems peculiarly adapted to those pre tentions fairy productions. Thursday's Program The fine two-reel Bisdn. "Tho Pickot Guard," has n quality all too rnro in picture charm. It illustrates effectively a well known poem. Wallace Roid ap pears as tho sentry on guard nlong'the Potomac. Homesick and lonesome, he reviews tho scene loading up to his en listment. Lntor ho is mortally wounded in a skirmish and scenes are shown when tho news is brought to his wife, impersonated by Paulino Bush. The closo is tenderly pathetic.
