Pharmacist In Charge 3 a fl iTinriTTMdTI UnUUol Naomi Circle with Mrs. Howard Wiles The Naomi Circle of the Meth odist Church met with Mrs. Howard Wiles on Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. Devotions were given by Mrs. George Hall with scripture being read by Mrs. Scott. Mrs. Hall also had the lesson with Mrs. Charles Thomason, Mrs. Russell Schalk, and Mrs. Howard Wiles assisting. The regular business was con ducted by the chairman Mrs. M. M. Muncle. Plans were made for the rum mage sale on Oct. 3rd, and also for the fall Seminar at Nebraska City on Sept. 27th. Rev. Scott was present and made several announcements to the group after which a prayer circle was held. A flower game was conducted by Mrs. Joe Zastera and won by Mrs. Charles Thomason. Lunch was served by the host esses, Mrs. Lee Eastridge, Mrs. Jerry Konfrst, and Mrs. Glenn Sawin. Circle 2 of St. Paul's Meets Circle 2 of St. Paul's Women's Guild met at the home of Mrs. Joe J. Stibal on Wednesday evening. Mrs. Jessie Klinger was co-hostess. The chairman, Mrs. Fritz Kaf fenberger, conducted the meet ing. Plans were made for a luncheon in October. A silent auction was also held which of fered much entertainment for the circle members as well as money for their treasury. Mrs. Weldon S:oehr drew the door prize. The meeting closed with the repeating of the Lord's Prayer. Refreshments were served by the hostesses to 15 members and three guests. Missionary Society At Murray Elects MURRAY (Special) The Women's Missionary Society of the Murray United Presbyterian Church held its first meeting of the fall season Sept. 14 at the church parlors. Election of officers was held and the following ladies were named to office: President, Mrs. Delbert Todd; vice president, Mrs. Dale Topliff : secretary, Mrs. Raymond Cun dall; treasurer, Mrs. Harley Lloyd. It was voted to hold the an nual turkey supper Nov. 1. Mrs. Raymond Cundall pre sented the study lesson on the sixth chapter of Romans. Hostesses were Mrs. Towner Livingston and Mrs. Parr Young. Green arrived home Tuesday evening from Califor nia where she went to visit accompanied by her son Robert and his wife Judy and her moth er, Mrs. Bailey of Marshalltown, Iowa. They went by way of Den ver and saw some beautiful sc enery. They visited Mrs. C. M. Green's sister-in-law, Mrs. Velma Jones and Mrs. John Walker of Sacra mento, Calif. While they were here, Mrs. Green's son, Howard and wife of Eugene, Oregon came to spend a few days with them. They drove to Gardena, Calif. to see some friends of Mrs. Green's and came home by the way of Arizona and New Mexico They saw the Grand Canyon and also stopped at Meade Kansas and went to the Dalton Gang Hide-out, through a tun nel and visited the Museum. They stopped In Wichita, Kan, and visited Mrs. Green's daugh ter Margaret and family, and &t another daughters, Alta and family of Brownville, Neb., be fore returning home to Platts- mouth. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fischer of Alvo and Mr. arm Mrs. Ben Hoffman of Plainview, Nebraska. The bride was given in mar riage by her father, Dick Fisch er. She wore a blue wool jersey dress with matching hat and veil and black accessories. Mrs. Robert Schiermann of Greenwood, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Lee Fischer of Lincoln, brother of the bride served as best man. Robert Schiermann of Green wood was an usher. Mrs. John Fischer of Eagle was organist. Mrs. Ralph Snavely, sang. ( The Ministers were the Lin coln District Superintendent, Harold C. Sandall of Lincoln, and Rev. Carl Spencer of Alvo. A reception followed the cere mony in the church parlors. Mrs. Lee Fischer and Mrs. Frank Smith of Beatrice, served the wedding cake which was baked by Mrs. Marion Kellogg of Alvo. The WSCS assisted with the serving of refreshments. After a brief wedding trip the couple will make their home at Elmwood. The groom is em ployed at Bornemeier Lumber Company, Elmwood. BIRTHS Son Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taenzler are parents of a 7 pound son, Robert Burton Jr., born Sept. 23 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha. The father is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Taenzler. The mother, Karen, Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvadore Tilson. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Will Warga. Daughter Mr. and Mrs. David L. Brown of Murray, announce birth of a daughter, Peggy Elaine, Sept. 15, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Om aha. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. The couple also have a son, David Jr., 2'2.
