'lhe theme for September is "Western Round-Up. " The first fall pack meeting will be Sept. 26. A discussion was held about the boy sccuts, Cub Scouts and Explorers and the fathers at tending the free wrestling matches in Lincoln, Sept. 25. Each den mother was to contact each boy and father. This will be held at Pershing Auditorium. The Cub Scouts were to begin their fall meetings this week. The next leaders meeting will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robinson, Oct. 1. We hear that Edith Jumper of Ashland was injured when she was struck by a laundry truck while crossing the street, she has no broken bones but badly bruised, she Is at her son's home in Lincoln. The Lions Club September meeting took the form of a pic nic in the Elmwood park on Thursday evening. Leona Wilkin who is a nurse at Espanola. N. M., is visiting her parents, the Fred Wilkins ar.d other relatives. Grace Backemeyer Wark from Sioux City, la., is here caring for her mother for a period of time until someone else can be found. Janet Von Sprekelson and San dra Carnicle are taking a busi ness course at the Lincoln school of Commerce and are rooming together. Mrs. Cyrus Livingston was co-hostess. There were thirteen members present. Mrs. Bertha Fitch, Miss Ahlene Fitch and Mrs. Cecil Stllgebouer of Gettsburg, South Dakota were guests. Roll call was answered by "My Most Treasured Souvenir." The members .spent the after noon telling about their vacation trips.
