Mrs. Alfa Quellhorst has taken rooms in the Ruth Monnlig home, having arrived Sept. 8th. She came from Ft. Riley, Kan sas where she attended the wed ding of her granddaughter, Nan cy Quellhorst to Larry Myers. i Mrs. B. E. Sumner returned home from Ft. Riley, Kansas where she helped with the wed ding of her granddaughter, Nan cy and Larry Myers of Iowa City, la. Nancy is the daughter of M. Sgt. and Mrs. Quellhorst. The young couple will make their home in Iowa City, la. Wedding occurred Sept. 2. Visitors at the Lela Buell home from Saturday evening to Monday morning were her sister, Mrs. Allen of McCook and daughter, Mrs. Charles Rees, also of McCook. Dinner guests at the Ralph Creamer home last Monday were his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young of O'Neil, Nebr. They were callers at the Maud and Jessie Creamer home also. Brownie troop 345 met for their regular meeting Sept. 6. They had a cookout In the Glen Miller pasture. After playing games they got the supper going. They learned how to build a fire and also how to put it out. After eat ing supper there was election of officers. Jane Fleischman was elected president; Joyce Alt-house-vice pres.; Joan Pratt sec, and Velaine Vogt-treas.; Then all returned to town after a very enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Fleisch man and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hurst of Lincoln were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Burrill and family. The occasion was in honor of Mrs. Hurst's birthday. She is Mrs. Burrill's mother. DOLLAR BILL NOT HERS Knoxville. Tenn. There's one little girl in Knoxville who will not claim a dollar unless its really hers. Margaret Martin, 11, lost a $1 bill at the fair. Fair officials showed her one that had been turned In at the office. Pictured above is a Chasuble at right and benediction cope at left. The benediction cope was made by Mrs. George Stoll from the wedding dress of one of the Court members, and was presented to the St. Columbans Mission Society to be used by priests in Burma or Korea. The first set of vestments made have been given to Korean Missions. Other Missionary pro jects of the Court are bandages, made from old sheets for the leper colonies; layettes for poor southern missions and sample drug shipments. Christian Church SS Makes Plans WEEPING WATER (Special) The Christian Church Sunday School teachers and officers held a meeting on Tuesday evening in the church parlors. Henry Irons, superintendent, presided Mrs. Maurice Ham mons played for the group sing ing. Rev. Victor Schwarz led in prayer. Plans were made for Rally Day and teachers Recognition Sunday, Oct. 7; Oct. 9, Sunday School Convention of Cass Coun ty; Oct. 7-13. Bible week with Mrs. Arnold Upton to have a Window display; Dec. 9, Univer sal Bible Sunday; Mrs. Leon Bond will be in charge of the Christmas program Dec. 23. PPastor Hansen's mes sage was "On Loyalty to Christ." The Father and son banquet Sept. 19. The Speaker will be Dwight Ganzel of Waverly, rural pastor of the year. Evangelical United Brethren Special music was the anthem "My Life Shall Speak the Praise." Rev. Schroeder's serT mon was titled "Seek and Ye shall find the Truth." The Gold en Age dinner will be Sept. 18 in this church. Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 will be Work days at the Milford Camp. The men's meeting of the St. Paul's Church will be Sept. 17 night. Mrs. Sch roeder is the delegate to the Na tional Quadrennial Convention of the WSWS at Wichita, Kan. She is one of 3 Nebraskans.
