Mr. and Mrs. Oreedus Hofker and Mr. and Mrs. Verner Hofke.r and son of Syracuse attended funeral services on Thursday, May 5 at the Ropers and Son Funeral Home in Lincoln for a brother of Mrs. Greedus Hof ker, Joe Gray, who passed away very suddenly. He had been hospitalized one day. He lived on a farm near Raymond. Burial was at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Harvey, Judy and Linda of Plattsmoftth were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Stock. Alvin Groesser was a 'Vvjcdnes day morning caller of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cooper. Mr. and Mrs. James Remelay of Elm wood, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Sowards and family of Ashland Mr. and Mrs. William Klemme and Steve and Mrs. John Beck of Nehawka were Mother's Day dinner guests of Mrs. August Klemme. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Thomas' sen are parents of a daughter born at Bryan Hospital in Lin coln May 10. She weighed pounds, 13V2 ounces and has been named Deanna, Leigh. She was born on the ninth birthday of her aunt, Joan Domingo. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Domingo are maternal grandparent and Mr. and Mrs. - Harold Thomassen are paternal grandparents. The great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Domingo and Mrs. Paul Ward of New Iberia, La. George Schomaker was taken by ambulance to the Ebeler Nursing Home in Elmwood on Monday after suffering a stroke. Mrs. Edgar Burgen returned home from Mayo Clinic at Roch ester, Minn., Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kobler of Louisville were Wednesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Van Horn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Beck and family have moved to the farm home recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Wiles and boys who have moved to Val- Visitors from Denmark at Home In Weeping Water WEEPING WATER (Special) Hans Eric Dominlcussen 6f Oskbol, Denmark, and Eric Krag of Asbenraa, Denmark, spent from Sunday morning un til Monday morning with Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Lauritzen Jr and family. The two young men are farm trainees from Denmark and are permitted to stay In the United States for one year. They had spent the first six months in New York. Mr. Krag was on his way to spend 6 months on a large ranch in Oregon and Mr. Domlnicussen would spend the next six months in California. Their trip was sponsored by the American - Scandinavian Foundation. Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Laurit zen, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Renos Anderson and boys were Sunday evening guests at the Lauritzen home to visit with their house guests. Mrs. Lauritzen Sr. and Mr. Domlnicussen lived In the same town and enjoyed visiting about people they knew.
