Mr. Henry Wulf received word of the birth of a baby boy, born to his daughter Dorothy, and husband Mr. and Mrs. William Heavey at Omaha, Nebr., on last Tuesday, Febr. 25th. Mr. A. J. Nelson enjoyed the day last Sunday at the house of his daughter Edith of family, the Myrl Miller family, near Elmwood. Mr. Roy Rockenback of Wash ington, D. C. visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rockenbach last week during each evening and attended a Broadcasting reporter's meeting at Omaha during the day. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Umland and family of Lincoln, spent the day at the parent's home and also enjoyed a visit with her bro ther, Roy. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rocken bach were visiting son, Mr. Roy Rockenbach of Wash., D. C. and at the home of the lat ter's uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hodwalker near Walton, Nebr. The later's daughter and hus band Mr. and Mrs Fred Casgldy reside near the Roy Rochen- bach's visit each other quite of ten. The Eagle Methodist MYF groups and Rev. and Mrs. Don Christensen H. N. Erskine Jr. family Edward Muenchau's, Or in Lannings and John Vlckers, Olive Westlake, and family, Mrs. Laura West and David McKay and family were in attendance, from Eagle. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Scatter good visited at the home of their daughter and family the Eldon Sorensen's at Ruskln, Nebr. Sunday. Mrs. Hallie Stewart returned home, from the hospital last Tuesday and Mrs. Kate Oberle of Lincoln, former resident, is assisting In her care, at the present. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wulf and daughter Donna Lee, of Rals ton, Nebr., visited at the home of nls father Mr. Henry Wulf, last Friday and the above folks during the afternon for Mr. Hen ry Ewerth at Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Umland were supper guests of her bro ther, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wa line at Lincoln Saturday even ing. Mrs. Emma Wallne of Lin coln, mother of the host and Mrs. Umland had the misfortune to fall and injure herself on Thursday and Is recuperating at the son's home, for the present. X-ray were taken for learning the extent of the injury. Guests at the Clarence Vader home Sunday, were the Melvin Neeman family of Syracuse, Nebr., Lyle Hickoks' and Clar ence Gerard's of Lincoln. Several ladies and members the Eagle Women's Society of Christian jService, attended the "Quiet Day" services, at the Unadilla Methodist church, Monday afternoon. Mrs. Harold Wall suffered a fall on the ice, recently, caus ing a painful back Injury. How ever after medical attention, she was relieved of the intense pain and able to assume her teach ing, on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Flfer of Lincoln, called at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anna Fifer Sun day afternoon. A rard shower was planned for Mr. Grover Palmer at Elmwood Nursing Home whose birthday was on March 2nd. Mr. Palmer enjoyed the weekend at the home of his son Raymond and and family, at Wahoo, Nebr. for a birthday observance. Both Mr and Mrs. Palmer have been at Elmwood for sometime. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Muen chau were dinner guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Muen- chau, near Alvo Nebr, Sunday. Sue Keriakedas, of Hay Spr ings, Nebr., spent the weekend visiting her grandmother Mrs. Mocroff and her aunt and fam Ily, the Wm. Malone family, re cently. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ossenkop and family of near Walton visit ed his sister and family, the George Wagner family, on Fri day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Morton, of Alvo, Nebr., called at the home of former neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Umland Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ander son Sr. visited at their son's home, the Richard Andersons' at Lincoln, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Clarence Frohlich return ed to her employment at Lin coln after recovering from an injury from fall on Ice, several weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs., Lester Donlan attended the funeral services of a friend, Mrs. Glen Burcham, at Lincoln, last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Cantley visited their daughter and fam ily, the Chester Sommer's fam ily at Pleasant Dale, Nebr., last Sunday. Mrs. Wm. Charlie Rosenow is at the Ebe ler Nursing home at Elmwood. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bryant and family of Burr, were Monday evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sutton. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stroemer were last weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Max Towne and fam ily at Klmballton, Iowa. The 4-H Orioles Club met at the home of their leader Arlan Neben, March 1. Dick Rieckman gave a demonstration on "Load ing Livestock." Arlan Neben gave a demonstration on "Parts of the Ignition System, of the tractor." This is a tractor and Livestock club. The rest of the evening was spent judging Dairy cattle. The club meets the first and third Saturday nghts of the month, the next meeting will be March 15th with Terrel and Chip Dreamer. Arlan Neben received a medal for Outstanding ser vice and attndanc In 4-H club work. Jean Marie Rieckman, reporter. Mrs. Mabelle Elliott entertain ed the Double Deck Plnnocle Club at her home Wednesday. Mrs. Ellis Mickel received high prize, Mrs. Mammie William got second and Martha Detmer re ceived the low prize. Last Sunday the Kellocg fam ily celebrated the 'February bir thdays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Grabowski and daughter at Lincoln with a din ner. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Vern Beckmann and child ren, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Vosler and children of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Kellogg and Robert of Alvo and Mrs. Lucy Kellogg of Ashland. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Kellogg were supper guests of their daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Vosler at Ashland Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Zoz re turned from their trip to Hawaii Wednesday. They came back by Reno, Nevada, and visited a cou sin, Mrs. Noel Thurber. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Zoz have gone back to ported to be very critically ill last Tuesday, at the hospital,, however, she has regained con sciousness and able to respond to medical attention. Her son from Colorado arrived the latter part of last week and she en joyed his visit. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Muen chau and daughters attended the 50th wedding anniversary ob servance of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Meyer at Staplehurst, Nebr., on last Sun day. On Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kinnamon of Sew ard, visited at the home her sis ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Muenchau and family. Will Coatman of Elmwood was a Sunday dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Zoz and family. The Alvo Methodist Church was host the monthly meeting of the Cass County Christian Fellowship. Rev. Everett Rey nolds was the speaker of the evening, his topic was "This is God's World." The attendants Banner was won by the Murray Church. The MYF Youth groups nif.t in the Church basement fol lowing the services for games and refreshments. 145 attend ed. Dan Neben entered the Bryan Memorial Hospital Friday. He is reported to be much better at this writing. Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Gerhard were Sunday afternoon visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kinney. Mrs. Gerhand was celebrating her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Elliott were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Howe and family Sunday afternoon. Bob Elliott plans to leave in the near fu ture for Phoenix, Arizona where he has employment. Attorney Joe Guthmann Pays Visit To Aunt The past week, Attorney Joe Outhmann of Santa Fe, N. M., was here to cn.loy a few duys visit with his aunt, Miss Minnie Guthmann, enroute home from Washington, D. C. Mr. Guth mann has been at Washington looking after matters In connect ion with the uranium Interests in New Mexico. One of the lareest uranium mills In the world is located at Grant, N. M., and a great doal of the uranium deposits In the country have been located in the area and the mills have a great deal of demand on Us pro ducts.
