He will be stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, after a fur lough with his family and rela tives. Robert Pollard returned to St. Paul, Nebr.. M., called at the Oren Pollard and Miss Evelyn Wolph homes Wednes day afternoon. Wm. Martinson, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. . Oren Pollard, graduated from Lincoln high school Friday evening. .Marius Peterson, brother of Iviis. Kent Balfour, called from Camp Crowcier Wednesday. He was to leave soon for Fort Bliss, Texas. Additional guests in cluded Mrs. Laura Barritt, Lin da Norris, Mr. and Mrs. John Norris, Avoca; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wolf. Mr. and Mrs. Vin cent Reynolds and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ronne, Omaha. NchawKa Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ross were in Omaha Tuesday. They had cattle on the market. Mrs. Kenneth Anderson grad uated Saturday morning from the University of Maryland at College Park, Md. Mrs. Ander son is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Faris of Union and Mr. Anderson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson of Ne hawka. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Pollard attended Memorial services at the Wyuka cemetery in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Pollard later vis ited her biVher and wife, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. White and had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. James Kitchen. Mrs. Frank Lemon and Mrs. Clifford Trotter were business visitors in Omaha Wednesday. Mrs. Emma Nutzman visited her daughter, Mildred, at tne Lutheran hosnital in Omaha Saturday. Mildred's condition is improving nicely. Mrs. Bob Wunderlich and sons returned Saturday from Omaha where they were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Gordon for several days. Mrs. Wunderlich was a tonsilectomy patient at Clarkson hospital Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jorgenson visited his brother, Henry, at Avoca Thursday. Mrs. Harold Kearney went to Falls City Thursday. Her daugh ters, Linda and Cheryl returned home with her Friday after spending several days with their aunt, Mrs. Chester Lee and fam ily. Linda and Cheryl are guests this week at the Leslie Thorns home at Weeping Water. Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Ketelhut vxisited Sunday afternoon and evening at the Clarence Case home in Omaha. Mrs. George Kime went to Omaha Saturday afternoon to attend the first birthday party of her granddaughter, Thersa Kime, at the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kime. Thersa was one year old. Callers at the Harry Knabe home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Herman. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Mather, Platts mouth, were their supper guests Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Anderson were dinner guests Saturday at the Ben Sheldon home at Per cival, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. John Chandler and Barbara called at the Ralph Snavely home at Alvo Sunday.
