South Asl.hmil Wall Markings In Children's Room Can Be Removed When your children scrawl ox your walls with crayons, heret a good way to remove the marks: Miss Gersilda Guthrie, exten sion home economist at the Uni versity of Nebraska, says it's better to try to absorb the cray on marks before attempting to wash them off. First scrape gently with the blunt edge of a knife to remove as much of the I wax crayon as possible. Then try erasing. Some cray ons are made of materials which respond to an eraser or to wash ing. If the wallpaper surface is washable, sponge with a soft cloth or lukewarm water. If you can't remove the marks by these methods, try absorb ing them with a paste of corn starch and carbon tetrachloride or other grease dissolving clean ing fluid. Let the paste drv. then brush off. Miss Guthrie says it's best to test these meth ods in an inconspicuous place before starting on the main job. HOW TO LIVE LOXCi SCRANTON, Pa. Drinking Walter H.
