The mothers described the clothing which they made and which were modeled by their children in the style show. This will be broadcast over KFAB Saturday, May 11 at two o'clock on Farm Facts and Fun. Those who were interviewed were Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Connie Lou, Mrs. Hall Hansen and Stevie. Mrs. John Schanbacher and Mike. President Ruth Bruns was elected pres ident of the Future Homemak ers of America at the organiza tion's last meeting of the year, April 28, at the school. Newa Wedding Date Set For May 18 Invitations have been received by relatives to the wedding of Miss Charlotte Mayfield of Chi cago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Mayfield of Louisville, and James Dobervitch of Chicago. The wedding will take place at the Christian church at Weep ing Water May 18. Nehawxa i Teach Cubs And Scouts To Fly Kites j Gene Banks, Ralph Betts and ' Dick Stone assisted the Cub and Boy Scouts with kite flying Sun day afternoon. They met at the Harold Dodson home north of town and the purpose was to teach the boys to fly kites. Twelve Cubs, four Scouts the leader, Dick Stone, and most of the parents were present. Kchawka Mr. and Mrs. John Bagley left Saturday for Perham, Minn., where they will spend the sum mer. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Poppe, Kan sas City, Kan., were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Gertrude Carper. Xhawka Boy's State Delegate Named Merritt Dodson. Jr., will rep resent the Nehawka high school juniors at Boys State June 1 to 7 in Lincoln. He has chosen the subject, 'The School Sys tem," to study. Nehawka Visit Flood Victims At Hamburg Mrs. George Kime and grand daughter, Theresa Kime, accom panied Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Mc Reynolds to Hamburg, Iowa, by the Omaha route Friday after noon where they visited Mrs. Henry Welch. Mr. and Mrs. Welch, whose home was flooded with six feet of water, expect to move into their home this week. Nehawka Letter Tells Of Interesting Sights In Cairo, Egypt Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Sand re ceived a letter from their daugh ter, Mrs. Blaine Sloan from Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Sloan and ! General Riley were in Cairo on business and their wives accom panied them to go sightseeing. They took a boat ride down the Nile and took pictures of the place where Moses was found in the bullrushes. They also rode the camels to the pyramids and the sphinx. They drove past King Farouk's palace with 150 acres of grounds. The Sloan family have moved from Beirut to Jerusalem, where they ex pect to stay for the next year. From there thpv went tn Custer. ! S. D., on business and will re turn here later for Mrs. Schwartz who will return to North Platte with them.
