Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Gill and -udy accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kaup, Denise and Tommy spent Sunday at Fort Randall. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. arid Mrs. Cletus Durr were Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Laursen and I*oug, O’Neill and Mr. and Mrs. P L Canipe, Nebraska City. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Canipe are spend ing a few days with Mr and Mrs. Cletus Durr. Mrs. Bertha Foss has been sending the past week at the Jim Huffman home. Wednesday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hoffman were Mr. and Mrs. Harry CadwalJader. Mrs. Harrison Hovey received word from her son, Dudley John, who is now stationed at Key West, Fla., yeoman on the ship, Shriek, particapated in the making of the movie PT — 109. Mr. and Mrs. Tuny Kaup, Mel vin and Jackie, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weichman and Rochelle were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Kaup. Mrs. Harrison Hovey accom panied by Nancy and Mary Bright, returned to her home Saturday after having spent her birthday Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bright and children, O’Neill, and Friday helping Bob by Hovey celebrate his birthday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hovey. Cake and home made ice cream were enjoyed Friday afternoon. Ruth ( Seger was the honored guest. Joan Timmermans spent the j weekend with a girl friend, Pat Allen, O’Neill. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. j and Mrs. Mike Cadwallader and family were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cadwallader. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elgie Irish and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stracke were Mr. and Mrs. Del Stracke and son, Om aha. Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Timmer mans, Joan and Lois, drove to Chadron Thursday to attend the graduation of their daughter Glen rose Timmermans from Chadron State Teachers college on Thurs day evening. They also visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Deymouth at Chadron. A miscellaneous shower was held Sunday evening at the home of Mrs. George Mining, honoring Glenrose Timmermans. About 30 ladies joined in the games. Miss Timmermans received many gifts. A lunch was served by the i hostesses, Mrs. Rollo Berry, Mrs. Andy Moeller and Mrs. Chester Anderson. Birthday club met at the home of Mrs. Wilbur Moon on Tuesday evening. A dessert luncheon was served at the beginning of the evening. Bridge was played and prize winners were Mrs. Ann Ramm, Theresa Levi and Mrs. Ed Coufal. Next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Pat rauerson. A family dinner was held Sun day at the home of Mrs. Jose phine Timmermans to help cele brate her 82nd birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Fran ces Higgins, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Higgins and Tommie all of Jami son, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Deter man, Butch and Bill, Burke, Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Timmermans and Lois, Glenrose Timmermans, Cherie and Monty Deymouth of Chadron. Mrs. Ruth Johnson, Winner, S. D. is spending the week with her sister, Noma Hall. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nelson were Mrs. Nel son’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Walker and daughter and Elaine, Winner. Elaine stayed to spend the week with Mr. and Mrs. Nel son. The Hi Five club met at the home of Noma Hall Friday with two tables at play. Prize winners were Mrs. B. C. Engler, Mrs. Edwin Engler and Mrs. L. H. Steinhauser. The next meeting will be at the home of Theresa Levi in two weeks.
