The North Platte Community Chorus will meet for reorganization on Thurs day ovenlng of this week. lt will hold its first meeting in tho Auditorium of tho Central High School. At that tlmo a permanent placo for meeting will be arranged and a regular meet ing night selected. Last year was tho Initial year of its existence and the concert at tho close of tho season was one of tho best production ever given in tho city. Tho individual members of tho chorus folt well repaid for the time they gavo to tho rehearsals and all will bo on hand for tho coming season. Under tho efficient direction of Mrs1. O. II. Shriver and with Miss Florenco Mc Kay at tho piano, tho chorus last year was well handled. No funds wero a vallablo to pay theso people for their timo and trouble and they didnot ex pect anything. Other expenses of the Choru3 wero met by dues from tho members and a collection .taken at tho concert. For tho coming year it is proposed to take a sum from tho money pro vided by the one mill levy for enter tainment and recreation and uso It to pay the actual expenses of tho Cho- TWENTIETH CENTURY CLUR TO USE FIREMAN'S HALL. The largo room on tho second floor of tho firoman'a hall will bo used by the Twentieth Century Club during tho winter for all of its meetings. This is a lnrge, well-lighted, steam heated room with piano, tables, chairs and Is pleasant In every way. Tho Club is to be congratulated on securing such commodious quarters. NEW FACTORY ' OPENED. LOCAL INTEHESTS ORGANIZE A COMPANY TO MANUFACTURE HEALTH CA1UNETS. LOCAL AND PEHSOXAL Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Ilalligan returned Saturday evening from a two woks' visit in Eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. They encountered very bad roads both ways. Mrs. W. J. Hendy and children will leave in a few days for southern Cal ifornia to spend tho winter. Mr. Hendy will follow about November first and spend some timo in that state. Esther Alice Jergensen, tho four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Jergenson, of Maywood, died at a local hospital Thursday, following an operation. Tho funeral was hold Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. T. C. Patterson wont to Omaha Sun day night to transact business for a few days. Ho will be accompanied homo by Mrs. Patterson nnd Miss Edith who have been visiting in Col fax Springs and Omaha for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. 0. W. Neal, former res idents, arrived in North Platted Satur day after visiting for several days in Colorado. They expect to leavo for their homo in Wisconsin soon.
