Brakeman Passmoro returned yester day from a three weeks' visit in the central part of the state. J. H. Edmisten is having lumber hauled to his farm southeast of town for the erection of a residence, granary and other build!ngs. E. A. Boyd, of the postofiice force, resumed his duties today after a fifteen day vacation, and Mrs. Lillian Gleason will begin a similar vacation today. The Garlow horse sale at tho stock yards Saturday afternoon proved a suc cessful1 ono. All the horses offered were' sold and good prices were obtained. Messrs. Dean, Seyferth, Doran, Gutherless and Kockcn returned Sat urday from a goose hunt up the north river branch. They Were not very suc cessful in bagging tho fowls. On a complaint filed by Night Police man Grable, John Weinberger and John Mathieson were arraigned in tho police court this morning on tho charge of throwing dice. The case was con tinued until next Saturday when it will be threshed out, the defendants having secured legal counsel to represent them.
