The FaUadians cave a valentine party
last night
Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Bine entertained the
J. O. C. club Monday evening.
Mrs. Lewis Marshall entertained Lea
Bohexnlennes on Wednesday.
Miss Ruth Asplnwall entertained the
Busy Bee club on Wednesday.
Delta Upsllon fraternity will entertain
to-night at the chapter house.
The Cotillon club will give a valentine
party to-night at Fraternity hall.
Mr. and Mrs. O. C Bell will entertain
La Veta Whist club Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Henry Sanderson entertained the
Battenburg club very pleasantly on Fri
day. Mrs. E. W. Allen and Mrs. J. H. Gain
gave a kensington for Mrs. Anna Ross
today.
Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Barras entertained
the East Lincoln Roadsters' club last
evening.
Mrs. J. W. McDonald will receive in
formally from four to eight o'clock on
Tuesday.
The W. T. M. will give a masque party
to-night at The home of Mr. and Mrs A.
P. Mickey.
Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Sine will entertain
the Nineteenth Century card club Tues

Mrs. J. M. Hatch left yesterday for
Sheldon, Iowa, to visit her mother and
grandmother.
The Hawthorne club gave a valentine
party yesterday at the home of Miss
Edith Wilson.
Doctor and Mrs. H. Flnley Helms gave
a supper last Tuesday evening for Miss
Conrad qf Erie, Pennsylvania.
Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Stearns enter
tained the C. D. F. club last evening. A
dinner was followed by cards.

The whole coantry is Interested In the physical condition of John D.
Lesg, former secretary of the navy. Latest bulletins say that he is Improv
ing te health. A few flays ago his life was despaired of, and his family was
summoned to his bedside.
Uhllch will give a valentine party this
evening at the home of the former. There
will be sixteen guests.
Mrs. D. T. Cook, who has been the
guest of her sister, Mrs. J. H. Davis, for
three weeks, returned to her home In1
Kansas City on Wednesday.
Mr. L. J. Dunn and his daughter, Miss
Nita Dunn, started Thursday evening for
Erie, Pennsylvania. They will also visit
Kansas City,before returning.
Mr. Frank Zehrung gave a box party
Monday evening followed by an elabo
rate supper at his apartments in honor
of Miss Conrad of Erie, Pennsylvania,
who is Mrs. J. W. McDonald's guest.
Beta Theta Pi- gave an informal
party Thursday night at the chapter
house. Ices and cake were served. Doc
tor and Mrs. Harry H. Everett, and Mr.
and Mrs. F. D. Cornell chaperoned the
young people.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Sanderson started
Wednesday evening for an eastern trip.
While absent they will visit Mrs. San
derson's brother, Mr. Clarence Marine,
in Washington, and will also go to New
York and Boston.
