Mr. and Mrs. O. C Bell will entertain
La Veta Whist club Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Henry Sanderson entertained the
Battenburg club very pleasantly on Fri
day. Mrs. E. W. Allen and Mrs. J. H. Gain
gave a kensington for Mrs. Anna Ross
today.
Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Barras entertained
the East Lincoln Roadsters' club last
evening.
Mrs. J. W. McDonald will receive in
formally from four to eight o'clock on
Tuesday.

Lesg, former secretary of the navy. Latest bulletins say that he is Improv
ing te health. A few flays ago his life was despaired of, and his family was
summoned to his bedside.
Uhllch will give a valentine party this
evening at the home of the former. There
will be sixteen guests.
Mrs. D. T. Cook, who has been the
guest of her sister, Mrs. J. H. Davis, for
three weeks, returned to her home In1
Kansas City on Wednesday.
Mr. L. J. Dunn and his daughter, Miss
Nita Dunn, started Thursday evening for
Erie, Pennsylvania. They will also visit
Kansas City,before returning.
Mr. Frank Zehrung gave a box party
Monday evening followed by an elabo
rate supper at his apartments in honor
of Miss Conrad of Erie, Pennsylvania,
who is Mrs. J. W. McDonald's guest.
Beta Theta Pi- gave an informal
party Thursday night at the chapter
house. Ices and cake were served. Doc
tor and Mrs. Harry H. Everett, and Mr.
and Mrs. F. D. Cornell chaperoned the
young people.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Sanderson started
Wednesday evening for an eastern trip.
While absent they will visit Mrs. San
derson's brother, Mr. Clarence Marine,
in Washington, and will also go to New
York and Boston.
