Pitchers Battle
Lincoln, Xcb., Sept. 14. (Special.)

was a heart-breaker.
Greenwood scored in the first in
ning. Stevens, lead-off man, being
hit by a pitched ball and scoring on
Armstrong's two-base hit. The Wil
ber team ran in the winning tally in
the last half of the ninth, when Wood
got a base on balls,, advancing on
a 'sacrifice hit, and scoring on an
infield out.
In the 12th. with two men down,
Baldcrson walked.' stole second and
went to third on .Prucha's hit, scor
ing on Shimcrda's single, thereby

supplemented by a misunderstanding
between Greenwood and tourney
management prevented the game and
it was postponed today.
The Wilber and Greenwood pitch
ers' had struck out 13 men, Daniels
allowing 7 hits in 12 innings, and
Wiggington allowino only five. Wig
gington allowed but two hits in nine
