With Election Fraud
Ernest O. Amcspresident of .the
State Savings and Loan association,
was arrested Friday morning,
charged with destroying a ballot at
last Tuesday's election, while acting
as an election official at a polling
booth at Thirty-sixth and Jackson
streets. Ames' bond was fixed at
$1,500.
An hour later Ames handed in his
resignation as president of the sav
ings association. . It was accepted.
Ames will have a preliminary hear
ing in police court this morning.
Ames arrest followed the filing of
a complaint against him Thursday by
Harley G, Moorhead, election commissioner.
