Owen Daily, the Kearney county wrestler, defeated another aspirant to welterweight honors last night at the Minden auditorium, winning two straight falls from Charley Pesck of Buffalo county. In the first preliminary, Gus Wag ner and Henry Arcnt, two Minden boys, put on the gloves, Wagner winning by a knockout in the third round. 1 he second preliminary was a wrestling bout between Carl Niel sen and Tom Cavanaugh, both of Minden, going 20 minutes to a draw. The third was another wrestling bout, Charles Foulson winning from Ed Larsen, . The fourth prelim was a boxing bout between two Minden boys, Har old Jinnings and "Kid" Hawkinson. Hawkinson got the decision on points at the end of four rounds. In the first fall of the principal event, Daily won in one hour and five minutes, with a bar arm and body scissors.
