Ringer Says Omaha Has Less Crime Than Dietz Memorial Methodist church on "'Crime Conditions in the Larger Cities," declared that Omaha has less crime than most other cities oi the metropolitan, class. "Statistics show, that there has been less crime of nearly every kind in Omaha in J920 than in most other cities," he-'said. "Among the causes foe the wave f criminal operations sweeping over .he country are the universal unrest, ' false standard of living and re puted leniency in dealing with crim inals. When a man hts been con icted of crime it is the duty of society to punish liim adequately, not in revenge upon him. but for the protection of law-abiding citizens. Most criminals do not appreciate len iency and merely laugh at those who seek to help them. "More thorough co-operation by the public with the police organiza tion, a return to the simple standards of life and a stronger all-around Christian citisenship will work to ward reducing crime and criminals to the lowest possible number.
