Fluctuations of stocks today included an early advance,"" rather extensive reaction during the middle of the session and a listless recovery before the close. In net changes a majority of quo tations were higher when business ended than the day before, some gains being substantial among the industrial shares, but the recordof dealings as a whole tola little except the operations of professional trad ers.
