market today In the face of reports that
foreigners were reselling. The outcome

at 11.27. Corn gained provisions, at a
finished unchanged and provisions at a
rise of 8c to 27 Wc. Violent changes In
price accompanied, by an Immense trade
kept the wheat pit lively throughout the
session.
Fear as to tha effect a cold wave would
have on winter wheat was heightened by
dispatches from the northwest, saying
that blliaard conditions in soma places
were the worst In years.

quiet Chicago reported a liberal run
with prices showing a weaker tendency,
and as many trains were lata at this
point buyers all took their time getting
started. Shipper buyers finally started
the ball rolling by going after their kind
at steady to strong and In some casa
to highar prices, and as packers really
wanted the hogs trade was soon moving
along with a fair degree of activity at
prices fliat were mostly 6o higher than
Wednesday.
Toward the close trsde weakened and
late sales were no better than yesterday s
averago, If as good. There were a good
many lioga still unsold at the time ot
