Grandeur of 'Frisco Fair Buildings is Already Apparent SAN FRANCISCO. June .-The lm- menslty and (randeur of the Panama PaciflQ International exposition as it will appear on its opening day, February 20 or next year. Is apparent to every visitor to the site In Ban Francisco. The expo sition has taken shape; It has passed the preliminary stage and has developed Into a form which Is appreciated by the thou sands of spectators who throng the grounds on every Sunday and on holl days. All of the great exhibit palaces are In procesa of construction and several have been completed. Of these the first to stand ready for Its exhibits Is the Palace of Machinery, the largest wooden build ing ever erected and to be noted tn his tory as the building In which the first Indoor aeroplane flight was ever held; this was when Uncoin Beachy on Decem ber 30, mt, flew the length of the giant structure In a seventy-five feet wide center aisle between the massive columns. With frames In place and outer struc tures completed or nearly completed on all of the buildings the exquisite beauty of the architecture Is no longer tha sub ject of conjecture, but can be accurately gauged and Judged. The work has progressed with unprece dented rapidity. Thla will be the first exposition that was ever perfect in every detail on the date of opening. That la a point upon which the Panama-Pacific In ternational exposition directors have been moat Insistent There la no question but that when the exposition Is formally opened on February 30, 1315, there will be In ther ensemble no uncompleted work to mar the beauty of the finished spectacle. The construction of an exposition of the Immense site snd Indescribable grandeur of one Is a task that to the layman Is inconceivable and even to engineers pre sents so many baffling problems that the greatest experts In each line were neces jiarily employed upon the work. The site, composed of 63$ Veres almost In the very heart of Sen FrancUco, was selected for two reasons, first,- Its loca- i tlon. which la close to the hotel and shop- ping district and but a few mlnutoa by trollev from sll parts of the city, and, , tecondlv, for the remarkable natural j beauty of surrounding regions. Contracts Let for Erection of Press Building at Fair Contract have been let for the con structlon of the ferry building and the press building of the Panama-Pacific In ternational exposition. The ferry building Is to cost ttttio and tha press building, which Is for the publicity department of the exposition and for visiting newspaper men from all parts of the world, will coat98.ee. OMAHANS at present away from the city are having tho DRESHER CLEANING SERVICE shipped to them, as it were. Each day sees the arrival here of hundreds ot packets of cleaning work. Gentlemen vacationists want their Palm Beach Suits cleaned ($1), and ladles are send ing their White Dresses, Skirts, Waists and similar balmy attire. Chances are there is a cleaning establishment near their hotel but Omahans won't trust the work.
