Western conference track and field . honors went to the University of Cali fornia In the splendid meet at Lafayette, Ind., yesterday afternoon,, where more than 140 athletes from twenty-three schools were In competition. The athletes from the University of Missouri, the men who won the Missouri Valley conference contests the Saturday before, were able to win second honors. California had 414 points and Missouri had 29V. Illinois came third with 2b' points; Chicago fourth with 15 points, and Wisconsin fifth with 124 points.
