Price on Beard of Trade.
CHICAGO, Juno 23. Predicted free mar

was a nervous, flighty session, however,
with many a trader keeping an anxious
eye on crop developments In North Dakota.
The close was VWiHc to Vfi.fec lower than

Wheat at the start was rather easy on
account of cooler weather and scattered
showers In the northern part of the spring
crop region, but offerings were well ab
sorbed, and the market lightly rose. At
the higher level the selling was more pro
nounced and. the whole 11st. broke badly.
Threshing returns from Missouri and Kan

and advices from the Canadian northwest
very promising. 'Another bulge, .though,
followed a report of a serious situation In
a part of North Dakota. The crowd seemed

appeared undeniably weak. September
fluctuated between 89fec and ' 81 Wc, with
last sales o off at K)c.
Corn prices suffered because of light
rains. September varied from 6SWH4C
and closed weak, fetoHo down, at MViif.Kc.
Cash grades were easy. No. 2 yellow fin

Realizing sales made oats take the down

HOGS Hogs opened this morning with a
few loads selling at fully steady prices, but
the demand for stuff on that basis was
very limited and only a few buyers were
bidding that way. Most of the buyers
started out at the beginning bidding prices
a little lower thun yesterday and tho mar
ket almost immediately weakened becoming
fully 60 lower, un that busts a good many
hogs were sold, but still as mure urgent
orders were filled It showed still further
weakness becoming at the close 10c lower.
As might be expected under the circum
stances, the trade was at no time very
active, Bellers all holding on with a firm
determination of getting every cent possi
ble for their hogs while packers were in
no hurry about filling orders. Still pretty
much of everything In the yards had
changed hands by 11 o'clock in the morn
ing. The bulk of all the hogs sold at 86.15,
while the bulk yesterday went at I'j.l.Vy)
6.30. The top was 60 lower than yesterday
and there were also more hogs In propor
tion to total receipts at prices under 86.15
than yesterday.
