he form of a Syrian wedding, performed
according; to the ritual of the Maronlt
church, reports the New Tork Times. Th
services were held In the Roman Cathollo
church of 6t. Charles Borromeo. The groom
was Shekri Rahalm, a wealthy Syrian mer
chant of Manhattan, and his bride, Monina
Moshy, sister of Joseph Bay Mosby, a Sy
rian nobleman now In business in New -York.
Clad in a surplice of red brocade, over
which hung a whit silk stole, richly em
broidered, the officiating prleet stood di
rectly in front of the main altar of th
church, and facing the couple. Between
him and them stood a small table holding
crucifix and four small floral wreaths.
