Sept. 2'..-The F.vcnlng World says: A great trust In base ball nnd profrsslonnl athletics Is being organized by magnates of the National lengue, headed by President Hart of tho Chicago club nnd Andrew Freedmnn of the New York club. Articles of Incorporation of tho National Athletic company, which Is to be the namo of the new combination, have been drawn up and the promoters expect to complete the project so rapidly that they will hnvo con trol of prolcsslonal athletics before the opening of tho season next spring. A tre mendous saving in expenses nnd the aboli tion of the warfnro now waged between rlvnl organizations and between rival, mag nates and players Is contemplated. The contemplated capital slock Is 17 (W,(yo. The main object of tho combine will bo to merge the National and American leagues. President Hat of Chlcngo first broached the subject several months ngo. He had first exhausted every argument to In'duco his brothers In the National league to mako terms of peace with the American league. President Brush, Freedman and others, however, would not Join In the harmony move. Freedinan at first was equally averse to the trust Idea, but It had so many seeming advantage that he at last Joined with Hart In the preliminary negotiations, fioden of Boston nnd Rogers of Philadelphia are two of those so far left out of tho ne gotiations. It is reported that Robinson of St. Louis Is Interested In the matter al ready, I tit tho Inner circle Is being kept small and none of the men known to bo In volved will talk of tho details, CHICAGO, Sept. 25,-Hart said he knew nothing whatever about the athletic com pany and that his name did not belong among tho organizers, 'mv to thi Lookup .IIiikiiiiIpn.
