The most of the cattle were from the ranges nnd only suitable for feeders. Killing cattle of all kinds were scarce and In good demand. There were no cornfcd steers to amount to anything , one bunch bringing $3.50 and another S3.93. Hango catt'o that would do for the dressed beef trade were also scarce. The market was just about steady , with no quotable change. Cows and heifers were In moderate up- ply , only about ten loads being offered for sale. The market on that kind of stock was also Just about steady. Stockers and feeders were In good de mand and sold freely at firm prices , and the cattle In first hands sold In good sea son. There were quite a good many buy ers In from the country and for the num ber of cattle on hand business In the feeder division was quite lively.
