later returns shows n tendency to decrease
the plurality given Mr. Bryan. He will have
between 10.000 and 11,000 more votes In
the Btato than his opponent. Governor Hoi-
comb's vote Is far In advance of that Klven
to llryan , and ho will lead the ticket. The
constitutional amendments arc hopelessly
beaten. In nearly every county so far heard
from the number of votes cast for the
amendments exceeds those cast against them
by a large majority ; but In every case they
were iRiiorcd by hundreds of voters , thus
precluding any possibility of their adoption.
