The story tells a Jewish father and daughter who immigrate to the United States from Poland before World War n. The mother and another daughter, both stricken with scarlet fever, stay behind. The story illustrates the rise of the Nazis and the destruction of the Jews during this turbulent era. “A Shayna Maidel” will preview Oct. 31 and play Nov. 1, 2, and 5 through 9 in the Studio Theatre in the Temple building. “Fall Dance ’96,” produced by Charlotte Adams, will follow on Nov. 14,15,16 and 17 in the Howell The atre. J_insanity make “Moreau” thrilling movie MOREAU from page 18 refer to as “father.” Montgomery (Val Kilmer) is great to watch as Dr. Moreau’s insane as sistant, especially when he is ex tremely friendly with the beast-people. In one scene Montgomery allows the disgusting sow ladies, with their many breasts, to lavish him with kisses. Although the beast people are in triguing, it would have been better to see more of Kilmer and Brando in this moVie. It doesn’t seem like there is enough quality insanity on the screen these days, if there ever was. The island of the beast-people is made real by Stan Winston (makeup has been responsible for bringing us the alien in “Alien,” the Vampire Lestat in “Interview with the Vam pire”, the Predator in “Predator” and the life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex in “Jurassic Park.” The movie has an explosive end ing (literally). I would say it’s the best movie out right now and if you’re go ing to go see a movie, see this one. If you’ve read the book, expect a few plot changes, but the characters stay true and the movie can stand on its own. j Supermarket wF'o0F^E| 3 Student = JNVOLVEMENT Doozy’s, Pizza, Salads, and More The Biggest Best Doozy's In Lincoln 101 N. 14th, Ste. 3- 438-1616 Buy a 1/2 Doozy Sandwich & Receive I 2nd 1/2 Sandwich for $1.00 I Equal or less value.
