No. 4 singles, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, Maat
defeated Quinn at No. 5,7-5,7-6, and
Janikowski and Baudouin beat Quinn
and Coutretsis, 7-6, 3-6,6-4.
NebraskacoaclHjregg Calvin said
the win was a good match in prepara
tion for this weekend’s Husker Invi
tational.
Drake, he said, defeated Iowa
State last weekend 8-1. Even though
the Huskcrs are a notch above the
Bulldogs, having a match under their
belt helped the Drake players even
the odds.
‘‘It was a match we could have lost
if we didn’t play good,” Calvin said.
Even in die matches the Huskcrs
lost, Calvin said he was pleased with
the team’s attitude.
