After one week at home, the Nebraska
track teams will do their impression of
a Willie Nelson song, "On the Uoad
Again."
The Nebraska men's team will travel
to Fayetteville, Ark., Saturday to com
pete in the ArkansasTyson Invitational.
The Nebraska women's team will be
split with half the team competing in
the Eastern Airlines Invitational in
Florida and half the team competing at
FAC.

Nebraska Coach Gary Pepin said all
three meets will provide quality com
petition for his team. Pepin said it is
important to the team to compete
against strong teams before the Big
Eight championships.
"We're hoping to get some real good
competition and weather at the meet
in Florida," Pepin said. "There will be
real strong competition in the women's
distance races at the Kansas Relays.
Arkansas has maybe the best men's
team in the country so that should pro-

decisions, Pepin said, he didn't think
the women's team would be a strong
challenger for the NCAA champion
ship. Pepin said Angela Thacker, Holly
Ashmore, Heather Smith and Cinda
Mentzer will redshirt. Pepin said
Thacker's injury has improved in the
last two weeks but that she will still
redshirt.
Pepin said he was pleased with some
of the individual performances in last
week's Nebraska Invitational, but the
team effort was disappointing. He said
it is important for both men's and women's

men's team will compete in Arkansas.
Assistant coach Jay Dirksen will coach
the team that will include Glen Cun
