If comic books and "Giiligan's Island" reruns
aren't your idea of culture, UNL offers a panorama
of arts to suit your refined tastes.
Sheldon Art Gallery
Photography, paintings, sculpture, ceramics and
weaving works highlight the many exhibitions sche
duled for Sheldon Art Gallery this semester.
Assist ant Director Donald Doe said there is some
t hjng for everyone interested in photography as well
as ot her areas of art.
John Pfahl and Victor Schrager, two avant garde
photographers to be featured this semester, were
widely acclaimed by critics, Doe said. Dan Howard,
of the "Dan Howard Retrospective," is a member of
the UNL art faculty.
Using the physical space of the gallery as a "can
vas" upon which she works, artist Noreen Christon
uses the accoustical characteristics of Sheldon in
her exhibition. She is the only Nebraskan in the
current traveling show assembled by the Mid
America Arts Alliance, Doe said.
