Have you ever wondered what life is
like in a toybox? Nebraska Repertory
Theatre actors offer a glimpse into the
world of marionettes, wind-up dolls and
toy soldiers in the musical. The Wind-Up
War.
The musical, written by theatre mem
ber Douglas Anderson, was presented for
the Lincoln Action Program last week,
and performances will continue in and
around Lincoln until Aug. 19.
The enchanting world of songs and
games is clouded by the dastardly deeds of
a mysterious villain. The villain turns out
to be the mischevious Jack-in-the-Box,
who is aided by his henchman, the toy
blocks. Their sehanigans lead to a slap
stick war of the toys.
After the smoke clears, the audience
discovers the cause of the villain's
discontent, and everyone including the
villain live happily ever after.
Where else but in toyland. . . .
