ASUN requests records
The ASUN senate voted unanimously
Wednesday night to request that Young
Americans for Freedom and the Nebraska
University Public Interest Research Group
furnish their 1977-78 meeting minutes to
the senate.
The minutes will be used by ASUN's
Special Topics Committee in their investi
gation of the two groups' compliance with
student organization guidelines. The com
mittee submitted the bill.
In other business, the senate passed a re
solution 19-12, recommending to the
Union Board that the ASUN office be
moved to first floor.
"How many students come to us to say
it's not accessible?" questioned Marvin
Kleeb, business senator.
"They might realize that ASUN is
around," responded Jay Yost, teacher's
college senator.
"I was one of the people that worked
day and night to get the office in the shape
it is now," said Bob Gleason, arts and
science senator, regarding recent renova
tions. "We have very good space up there now
Student (ails
to organize
card section
Efforts by graduate stu
dent Andrea Andreesen to
reorganize a card section
for next year's football
season have failed.
About 30 to 35 stu
dents responded to her re
quests for 400 to 800 vol
unteers to participate in a
section in the North Sta
dium. "It's hard to get people
to volunteer for something
uniess they got paid for
it," she said.
Andreesen said she will
continue her research on a
card section through next
year. The following year,
card section tickets will be
advertised when student
tickets go on sale.

Gleason said.
Another proposal drawing much con
troversy would have installed the three
senate members of the' executive commit
tee as cx-officio members on all but the
four standing committees.
Drafter of the bill, Teacher's College
senator Toni Ecklund said the bill was
aimed at giving the ex -officio members
non-voting status and no committee pri
veleges. Parliamentarian Charles Fellingham
quoted Robert's Rules of Order, however,
stating that ex-officio members have "all
the rights of members and none of the re
sponsibilities of members." Those rights in
clude making motions and voting, Felling
ham said.
After discussion about the direction the
bill should take it was postponed indefin
itely by a 244-2 vote.
Other motions passed Wednesday night
permitted ASUN executives to authorize
petty cash expenditures of under $25 per
executive each month.
