thursday, april 13, 1978 daily nebraskan page 3 ASUN requests records The ASUN senate voted unanimously Wednesday night to request that Young Americans for Freedom and the Nebraska University Public Interest Research Group furnish their 1977-78 meeting minutes to the senate. The minutes will be used by ASUN's Special Topics Committee in their investi gation of the two groups' compliance with student organization guidelines. The com mittee submitted the bill. In other business, the senate passed a re solution 19-12, recommending to the Union Board that the ASUN office be moved to first floor. "How many students come to us to say it's not accessible?" questioned Marvin Kleeb, business senator. "They might realize that ASUN is around," responded Jay Yost, teacher's college senator. "I was one of the people that worked day and night to get the office in the shape it is now," said Bob Gleason, arts and science senator, regarding recent renova tions. "We have very good space up there now Student (ails to organize card section Efforts by graduate stu dent Andrea Andreesen to reorganize a card section for next year's football season have failed. About 30 to 35 stu dents responded to her re quests for 400 to 800 vol unteers to participate in a section in the North Sta dium. "It's hard to get people to volunteer for something uniess they got paid for it," she said. Andreesen said she will continue her research on a card section through next year. The following year, card section tickets will be advertised when student tickets go on sale. stuff Phi Chi Theta elections will be at 4:30 today in the Nebraska Union. Room number will be posted. The Medical Careers Christian Fellowship organ ization will meet tonight at 7:30 in the Student Lu theran Center. Another proposal drawing much con troversy would have installed the three senate members of the' executive commit tee as cx-officio members on all but the four standing committees. Drafter of the bill, Teacher's College senator Toni Ecklund said the bill was aimed at giving the ex -officio members non-voting status and no committee pri veleges. Parliamentarian Charles Fellingham quoted Robert's Rules of Order, however, stating that ex-officio members have "all the rights of members and none of the re sponsibilities of members." Those rights in clude making motions and voting, Felling ham said. After discussion about the direction the bill should take it was postponed indefin itely by a 244-2 vote. Other motions passed Wednesday night permitted ASUN executives to authorize petty cash expenditures of under $25 per executive each month.
