monday, epril 4, 1977 poga 16 daily nebrasksn Allegations 'not substantiated,' says ad By Kathy McAuliffe The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) security director said positive results have come from an ad hoc committee investigation into UNO's Campus Security. Verne McClurg said the committee investigated the allegations made by three former and two currently employed security officers and found the allegations were "not substantiated." McClurg said the allegations disturbed many of the 22 officers interviewed by the committee, but "policies con cerning the training and authority of officers" are being reviewed. The five officers who made the allegations claimed that: -Campus Security telephones containing recording devices had been installed. -Parking tickets issued to faculty, administrators, and staff were regularly voided by Security Director McClurg want ads 1 1S33 ford Sta-Wagon. UNO Vice Chancellor Gary Carrico said the allegations probably occurred because of a "misunderstanding of policies" but he declined to name the sources of the original allegations. He and McClurg are reviewing the need for the devices, the possibility of adopting telephone company policies and the development of a written policy concerning the use of such devices.
