director of the Office of Policy and Hans, Dureau of Inter
American Affairs, US. State Dept. Since 1952,Camebey
has been deputy chief of the mission in the embassies in
Nicaragua, Eolivia and Lima, Peru.
Roberto EsquenazHfayo, director of the UNL Insti
tute of International Studies, said he hopes Eamebey also
will talk about the conflict concerning the Panama Canal.
The meeting is the second to be hosted by UNL's
Institute of Inemational Studies and has been endorsed by
the Nebraska Bicentennial Commission as part of the
state's bicentennial celebration.
Dame-bey is serving as an adviser on Latin American
foreign policy in the State Depts Bureau of Inter-American
Affairs.

day. The session also will cover Transactions between
Latin America and the US. from 9 to 11:30 ajn. and

ASUN aids voting
Students who need absentee ballots to rote in the
November elections can pick up the request forms in the
ASUN offices in the Nebraska Union.
Oct. 29 is the last day county clerks may send out
absentee ballots.
Mueller, ASUN president, sail his office has
devised the request forms to include all information
necessary to send to the voter's home county clerk. The
clerk wl then send the voter another form which he or
she must return to receive the absentee ballot.
Student voters can have their ballots notarized for free
in the Nebraska Union. Notaries public are in the Office
of Student Affairs, ASUN Office and the Student Legal
Services Center.

would take shifts notarizing ballots, but that would be
nearer election timeaccording to Mueller.

A chance to explore what it means to be male or fe
male awaits those participating in the Planned Parent-,
hood-sponsored sexuality workshop Friday and Saturday.
According to staff member Kathy Allen, the work
. shop which wCl.Iast for 16 hours, will Include time for
lectures and active participation through group discuss
ions. Te don't want this to be just a lecture situation so we
are going to get everyone involved to make it a learning
event," she said..
The cost, which includes two meals, is $ 10 for students
and $15 for others. It wQ be at the YMCA, 139 N. 1 1th
St.
"There is a rck involved because you will be exposing
your feeling to yourself and that sometimes can be very
painful, she said. She said that people have come to her
after completing the workshop saying that it has changed
their lives.
Films will be shown to provide information and mental
exercises that help people explore how they feel about
certain aspects of sex.
The workshop takes place four times a year and parti
cipants have ranged in age from 18 to 69, Alien said.
