Communicating ideas with his body without
usine words, Keith Bcrger stunned the standing-room-only
crowd Wednesday night at his mime
performance in the Nebraska Union Ballroom.
"It's a challenge to get a point across without
using words," he said. "A lot of values get lost
when you speak." ; Y
The 23-ycar-old Berger started street perform
ing in New York in the late 1960s, creating his
own routines and experimenting with them in
Washington Square Park. He later studied with the
American Mime Theatre in New York City, where
he now teaches.
Response to the performance was so great that
Pain Kinic, chairperson for the Union Atts Com
mittee, said efforts are being made to arrange his
return in the spring. We can only hope.
