Marg Heeney and Sheila
Collins, Homestead Institute
staff members, explained the
institute's therapy for women
to about 50 people at
Tuesday's WomenSpeak
meeting.
The Homestead Institute is
an informal Lincoln counseling
seryjce at 1525 A St.
Collins called the therapy,
"a return to who we are or the
discovery of who we are" and a
"journey to the center of the
self."
She said that women go
through a three-step
socialization process.

Collins is a University of

She called the Homestead
Institute, "A place where
people can come together to
explore creative solutions for
contemporary life situations."
In addition to sponsoring
women's therapy groups, the
institute offers groups for men,
couple's workshops, movement
groups (body movement and
dance) and mixed groups. The
mixed groups are for
unmarried people and the
couple's groups are for married
couples.
