the Lincoln Center in New York City. He has

health, physical education and
recreation department at the
YWCA, 1432 N, will begin th
week of Sept. 10.

adults, and family swims.
Seven figurine classes are
offered with a special
discussion in the mornings.
Aqua fitness classes also are
available.
Musical gym for children is
a course in coordination,
control and ihythm for 4- and
5-year-olds. Tumbling for
children 6 and over and
gymnastics for junior high age
and over children are
scheduled.
New classes in the pool are
U nownproofing," a family
course of rescue and safety
skills in the water, and a
husband and wife swimming
class.
International folk dancing is
a new routine for husbands,
wives, singles and teens. Yoga,
self-defense, volleyball and
beginning tennis are offered.
Working women now may
take advantage of the facilities
over the noon hour. The
"lunch hour special" includes
use of the gym, pool and
fitness room from noon to 1
p.m., Monday through Friday.
Other classes at the YWCA
include antiques, bridge,
creative writing, crocheting,
Danish embtoidery, genealogy,
knitting, lingerie making,
macramo', painting, poetry
writing, weaving, woodcarving
and Oriental cooking.
Rock concert
set for Sunday
The Lincoln Parks jnd
Recreation Department is
sponsoring a free rock concert,
starring Last Chance, Oedipus
and Dr. Feelgood, Sunday at 3
p.m. at Pinewood Bowl at
Pioneer Paik, according to
Steve Miller of the department.
The department sponsored a
similar concert in August,
Miller said, but Ijecause of lack
of publicity only about 1,000
persons attended. Miller said he
is planning on between 3,000
to 5,000 persons Sunday.
