The battle between th Cow
boys and the Huskers is for
sixth place in the Big Eight
standings. Oklahoma State
has a 1-3 conference mark
while the Huskers are 1-4.
The only league win for both
schools came against Kansas
state.
Nebraska defeated the Wild
cats 17-7 earlier in the season
and Oklahoma State got its
first league win a week ago
with a 28-7 victory over Kan
sas State.
A Husker win wound as
sure Nebraska of a record
equal to last year's mark when
the Huskers won two and lost
four in the conference and
had a 4-6 overall record. Ne
braska has lost three consec
utive games and hasn't scored
in the last two against Mis
souri and Kansas.
"Oklahoma State defensive
ly is as fine a team as we've

Bill Jennings said. "We have

All Huskers are expected to

Six Huskers Set
For Harrier Meet

Nebraska's six-man cross
country team will compete
in the Big Eight conference
championship meet Saturday
at Oklahoma State in Still
water.

Last weekend Nebraska
won the Midwest AAU four
mile run in Omaha. At this
meet Stevens set a new rec
ord for the course with a
21:06. Stevens also lias the
best time for the Huskers on
the home course with a
15:13.5.
This season Nebraska won
meets from Colorado, Iowa
State and Drake, and lost to
Kansas State and Missouri.

dominate the cross country
run for the 14th straight year.

Nebraska's undefeated
freshman football team
will host the Kansas S t a te
frosh at 2:00 p.m. today.
The Kansas State freshmen
are undefeated this year aft
er holding the Kansas grid
ders to a 0-0 tie at Manhat
tan, October 27.
The Hnsker frosh tripped
the Iowa State freshmen last
Friday 7-6 on a fourth
quarter drive engineered by
Iowa prep star, Charles Doep-
ke.
K-State freshman coacl. Ed
Dissinger says the Wildkit
tens are "ready to play
ready to give a good account
of themselves," and has
moved two Nebraska prep
stars into the starting line-up.
They are Spencer Puis,
Holdrege, at left half, and
Sam Sommerhalder, Minden,
at right end.

Ransas State are Larry

won the last two games from
Ransas State since 1957 when
the Wildcats romped 31-7.
Nebraska won 15-0 at Man
hattan last year.
The Huskers have a 14-
pound weight advantage over
all. The Ransas State line
averages 196.4 against Ne
braska's 216.4 and the Husk
ers hold a 192.7-173.2 advant
age in the backfield.
