Robert B. Crosby Will Speak
At Federalist Convo Thursday
By Eugene Berman
Lieutenant Governor Robert B.
Crosby will be the speaker at a
university convocation sponsored
by the university's chapter of
Student Federalists, Thursday at
3 p. m. in the Union ballroom.
"A Nebraska Approach to
World Government" will be dis
cussed by the newly elected Lieu
tenant Governor, a former mem
ber of the Unicameral.
Speaks to Republicans
Recently speaking before a
meeting of the Young Republi
cans, Lt. Gov. Crosby won state
wide acclaim for the views he
expressed concerning represent
ative government. A veteran of
the past war, he has suggested
progressive legislation in many
fields, even advocating the abol
ition of the office he now holds,
claiming it is "useless" and that
abolition of it would save taxpay
ers money.
When asked whether he be
lieves that the United Nations as
now constituted is capable of pre
serving lasting peace, he answered
"No." He thinks further that the
United States should make ths
goal of world government the
central core of our foreign policy.
Believing that world govern
ment can best be achieved by
ultimately converting the United
Nations into a Federal World
Government, Lt. Gov. Crosby
