Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lyman announce the marriage of their daugh ter, Ardis, to Leland Bruce Conant, jr.", of Los Ange.es. 1 ho will take place Monday evening, November 22 in the Holy Trinity church. Miss Lyman was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta at Ne braska. Lieutenant Conant attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he was a member of Theta Delta Chi. He also attended UCLA college of law for two years before entering the naval air corps. BY LAURA LEE MUNDIL. Busy people, lots of things hap pening and life Is wonderful. But wouldn't it be dull without fur loughs and leaves and service men dashing in and out? For in stance, DU Jack Trenchard back from New York to see Peg Peters, Tri Delt Phi Gam Graham Jones up from Texas to visit "friends" and around the Union Friday were Been Sig Alph Bob Jeffrey and pinmate (since last furlough) for mer DG Susie Kirkland, now of Duchesne, here for the week-end. Bob is with the ASTP in Ohio. On again, off again deals: after a slight interruption, Tri Delt Gin nie Swanholm is again wearing the pin of DU dent Don Kling; while the steady deal of DG Pat Wil liams and STAR-man Ralph Nash seems to be no more. But here's one which is definitely not "one nf those" not onlv are Theta Beth Montgomery and Phi Gam Warren Eisenhart going formally steady now but they have been since last Christmas. How's that for a long standing romance in these times? Of course there are alwavs tele phone calls and letters. This week from Fort Benning way were calls from ATO John Jav Douelass and DU Dee DePutron to pinmates Alpha Phi umme mcuuiie ana Alpha Chi Margie Andrews. And Ikey Stimson hears via mail that AGR Don Tracy nas been trans f erred from Benning-to some un forunate snot in MississiDDi. Re suit of another unfortunate trans fer: one lonesome gal DG Barb Taylor now that corporal Jonn Witt has left the air base. How ever, bovs. she isn't "formally" engaged or anything; A not so lonesome Delta Gamma is Mary Jo Gish whose time is "quite well occupied these days with one' ASTP Charles McGaskill of South Carolina. Houseguests of SDT Sylvia Bernstein, Eleanore. Bernstein and Charlotte Katzman were going the town Saturday nite with Bernie Kaplow and Fred Teller, ZBT's. More Saturday night dates ASTP's Bill Jervick, Ashby Tay lor and Leonard Littlejohn with DG's Ann Crosby, Dorothy Thorn burg and J. B. Anderson. Also, Illinois' "Max" Maxwell escorting Alph Phi Jo Martz to the big dance and then again Bernie Marland with SDT Shirley Kushner. Congratulations to Irene Dunnel and ASTP Lee Masters who are now -going steady. Then the Kappa Sig and Kappa deals Pat Cathn and Jim Evinger, and Marcia Halligan with Bob Tange man. Incidentally, Marcia has also been seen around with ATO Kenny Elson. Phi Gams here and there: Kappa pledge Mary Ann Lofink wearing the pin of Bob Southward, Bob Davis of Ohio U. and Adrienne Waggoner, Pi Phi, with a standing Saturday nite date. More PI Phi gore; Helen Vennum deeply in terested in one Max Andrews at the Sioux City air base, an ex tended summer time romance; Janet Sherwood wearing the Sig Alph pin of Norm Alverson in the Navy at Crete. She met him this summer too. Leave it to fraternity presi dents to get around. This week end it was ZBT Stuart Goldberg showing SDT Ethel Miller the town. And speaking of getting around, why don't we see more of Phi Gam Russ Leger?
