DAILY NEBRASKAN
Sc

BY MARY LOUISE GOODWIN.
Pledges were up to their usual
Monday night stunts. The Fiji
yearlinRS took Dee DeVoe along
lor good measure, and from what
we can gather it was better than
goo.!. . . . The Theta pledges aren't
stepping so lively these days The
actives spend the time after the
pledges left thinking up-anw and
different calisthenics for the
" pU-dges left thinking up new and
turn. . . . Also skipping with food,
silverware and the like were the
niodors of Alnha Xi Delta, Delta
Sig and Sigma Delta -Tau.
In case you re as confused as
we were, we'll clear up a little
misunderstanding for you. Kappa
Shirley Khyn is, and has been,
pinned to Jim Evinger, Kappa
Sig. since last summer. Bill
Palmer of the same house merely
ni with Shirley at the game.
Honest there's no trouble there.
. . . The bubble has burst and Pres
Havs, Sig Nu activity man and
Pi Phi Betty Dobbs are no longer
going .steady, and after all these
months. . . . Another couple no
longer on the steady list but still
good friends :s Kenny Greenwood
and Maium Coombs
Down for Game.
Down last week-end for the
game were Chi O of a couple of
years ba k Ruth Salisbury and
Leonard Chadck, Nu Sig. . . Char
lott Peck, Marjorie Lew John, Le
ona French, Lois Bridenbaugh and
Francis Simon came back to see
Alpha Xi sisters last week. . . .
After the false alarm last week
the Alpha Phis are finally enter
taining Betas Johnny Edwards
and Harold Salisbury, ATO Jim
Critchfield. and Sig Alph Jack
Martin at dinner. It was all
planned for last week but about
fifteen minutes before time to eat
the girls discovered that they had
forgotten to send the invitations.
Triple Delt Mardcle Silvernail is
now going steady with Delt Bob
VpUm- It was Drobablv Bob who
sent all those roses a couple of
weeks ago. . . . John Jay Douglas,
erstwhile politician, had luncheon
yesterday with Dean Verna
Boyles.
Right Finger, Left Hand-
A brand new diamond is now
sparkling on the left hand of Tri
Delt prexy Mary Helen Dietrick, a
gift from Dick Gallatly, Delt.
That "coke" date Alpha Phi
Dorothy Hanks and Delta Sig
Warren Jefferys had Monday
must have been mutually enjoyed.
Anyway they are following it up
with a date this week end. . . .
KKG gal Anna Mary Lee has a
big date this week end with Thi
Psi pledge Jack Blankenship. You
might ask Jack how he first se
cured a date from Anna Mary, he
has a system.
