In case you re as confused as we were, we'll clear up a little misunderstanding for you. Kappa Shirley Khyn is, and has been, pinned to Jim Evinger, Kappa Sig. since last summer. Bill Palmer of the same house merely ni with Shirley at the game. Honest there's no trouble there. . . . The bubble has burst and Pres Havs, Sig Nu activity man and Pi Phi Betty Dobbs are no longer going .steady, and after all these months. . . . It was all planned for last week but about fifteen minutes before time to eat the girls discovered that they had forgotten to send the invitations. John Jay Douglas, erstwhile politician, had luncheon yesterday with Dean Verna Boyles. Right Finger, Left Hand- A brand new diamond is now sparkling on the left hand of Tri Delt prexy Mary Helen Dietrick, a gift from Dick Gallatly, Delt. That "coke" date Alpha Phi Dorothy Hanks and Delta Sig Warren Jefferys had Monday must have been mutually enjoyed. Anyway they are following it up with a date this week end. . . . KKG gal Anna Mary Lee has a big date this week end with Thi Psi pledge Jack Blankenship. You might ask Jack how he first se cured a date from Anna Mary, he has a system. Students Hold Regular Bible Study Classes A new innovation in religious welfare instruction will be started this evening when the Lutheran students of the campus begin a regularly conducted study of the Bible for the school year. Rev. H. Ki ck has engaged room 102 of the Temple building for the class. Sessions will be held at 7:30 to 8:30 on each first and third Wed nesdays of each month. All stu dents who are interested in the discussion of religious topics are invited. For the first ten sessions Rev. Mr. Erck has chosen the gen eral topic, "Things Christian." This evening will be concerned with, "Christian Education." All discussions will be free. Par ticipation is invited Tor all. "Corsican Brothers" Serv. Men aoc Women's Dean Describes New Dorm Set-up To explain the control of Carrie Belle Raymond dormitory under the new system set-up this fall, Verna G. Boyles. dean of women, yesterday described the dorm con trol system. As dean of women, Mrs. Boyles is over-all head of university wom en's residences. Under her at the dorm there are three head resi dents with equal powers, Miss Wilson, freshman advisor and head of -Love hall; Miss Aspinwall, as sistant freshman advisor and head of Northeast Hall, and Miss Johnston, upper-class advisor and head of Raymond hall. Each hall has its own officers, and over these the governing body elected last spring, including Shir ley Phelps, president; Laura Lee Mundel, vice-president ; Anne Louise Wcllcnseik. secretary; Jean Pratt, treasurer; Addy Kloepper, publicity chairman; Rogene Peter son, social chairman in charge of outside activities; Sclnia Phings ten, social chairman in charge of Lyon, academic chairman. Dorm residents elect represent atives from each corridor. The hourse council moots every Mon day evening. War Council Offers Courses in First Aid, Home Nursing Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27, the Student War Council will sponsor first aid and home nursing classes to be held in the Union once a week for ten weeks. Red Cross members will serve as instructors, and there will be no charge except for manuals. Each class will be limited to 25 members, and leader in each group will be notified before Oct. 24. Stu dents without leaders may sign up at the Union. The schedule includes: First Aid, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 4-6 p. m.; Wed nesday, Oct. 28, 7-9 p. m.; and Thursday, Oct. 29, 7-9 p. m.; and Home Nursing, Thursday, Oct. 29, 9 p. m.
