added to the original twenty-three
for the men's golt tournament
which Will be play1)! during the
coming week. Qualifying flights of
eighteen holes must be played ana
scores turned in by Wednesday
morning to M. R. Colson, Alfred
Calvert, E. W. LnnLz, or O. L
Webb. Prizes will be awarded the
respective winners of the three
flights to be played at the Kast
ridgo club and the two flights to
be played on any other courso.

six mile champion.
The hurdle field includes many
bright stars with Lee Hentman,
University of Illinois; Johnny Mor
ris, New Orleans, La.; George
Maxwell, Olympic club, topping
the list.
Ten high jumpers who have done
6 feet 5 inches or better are in
cluded in the high jump compcti
tition. The field is headed by Har
old Osborn, world recordholder at
6 feet 8 ',4 Inches: George Spitz,
indoor record holder at 6 feet 7
inches; Anton Burg, Darrell Joiv
William O'Connor, Walter Ma.ty
and several others.
Tom Warne is one of thj most
colorful of the entries in the pole
vault, while Gordon, University of
Iowa broad jumper, and member
of the American Olympic team, is
among the broad jump entries.
Levi Casey of the Olympic team
is back to defend his hop, step and
jump title, with the veteran Pat
McDonald entered in the 56 pound
weight.
Herman Brix, national record
holder and champion, tops the shot
put entries with Paul Jessup,
claimant of the world record in
the discus, featuring the men here
for the latter event.
A dozen javelin throwers who
cast the spear better than 200 feet
are in the spectacular javelin
event. Among the leaders are
Jimmy DeMers, national record
holder and champion, and Kenneth
Churchill, I. C. 4-A and N. C. A. A.
champion.
The Saturday night relays
promise to be a spectacular event.
Powerful floodlights have been in
stalled in the stadium for the noc
turnal events.
