The" Dairy club will meet Wednes
day at 8 p. m in U. hall 102.
There will be a meeting of the XI
Deltas Thursday evening at 7:15 at the
Kappa Kappa Gamma house.
Both aid and new Y. W. C. A. cabi
nets and their sub-committees will
meet at the Y. W. C. A. rooms tonight
at 7 o'clock to discuss new policies
and review old ones, and to install new
officers.
Mr. N. E. Williams, sales manager of
the Cushman Motor Works, will ad
dress the members of the University
Commercial club, Thursday afternoon,
April 27th, instead of April 20th, as
announced on the bulletin boards.
One hundred and twenty-five tickets
have been validated for the sophomore
hop to be held at Electric park May
9, 1916. No more tickets will be vali
dated for this hop. The complimentary
list will be published with the financial
statement.
Condition Exam, in Chemistry
Students who have a condition in
Chemistry I, may take a special exam
ination to remove same Saturday,
April 29th, at 1 o'clock in the lecture
room of the Chemistry laboratory.

All students interested in boxing are
asked to see Coach Sylvester at once
in regard to a special course which will
be started next Monday if a sufficient
number register for the same. The
class will be held Monday, Wednesday
and Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock and
will continue until the beginning of
examination week.
An unlimited number of tickets has
been validated for the subscription
dance to be held at Capital Beach
April 29, 1916. Ten complimentary
tickets have been issued for this

The meeting of. the members of the
Sigma Delta Chi fraternity at Prof.
Fogg's home, to meet Trof. Carl H.
Getz of the university -of Montana,
vice-president of the Journalistic fra
ternity, has been postponed from last
evening until this evening at 8:30
o'clock ebarp. Professor Getz was
delayed in arriving in Lincoln, not
reaching hre until midnight laBt night.
He will leave late this evening for
the university of Kansas.
THE LEAGUE OF THE SECOND
GENERATION
We are quite pleased with the pro
gress of this League is making. It has
rpreived the favorable comment or
various faculty and alumni members.
But we had hoped for a greater re-
snonse from the students. This or
ganization must necessarily begin with
the students. Without their support u

WYMAN-RIVETT WEDDING
Frances Wyman, '14, and Paul
Rivett, '12, were married at the home
of the bride's parents, Tuesday, April
18. Mrs. Rivett is a member of
Achoth sorority and was in the state
agricultural extension department. Mr.
and Mrs. Rivett will be at home after
May 1, in Florence, Nebraska.
Ottila Schurman, '19, went to Omaha
Saturday.
Loa Howard, '17, spent the week-end
in Omaha.
Registrar Vancil K. Greer was in
Omaha, Monday.
Harry Grainger, ex-'17, is attending
Amherst college.
James Harvey, '09, of York, was in
Lincoln last week.
Lenore Young spent Sunday at her
home in Macedonia, Iowa.
Max Bixby, '18, has had to leave
school on account of his health.
. Alpha Delta Pi gave a tea for their
patronesses Saturday afternoon.

pledging of J. W. Calvin, of Lincoln.

ton, '19, spent the week-end in Valley.

man motored to Beatrice Monday after
noon.
Frank Carpenter was taken to hia
home in Omaha Monday, on account of
illness.
Gladys Wild, '16, was called to her
home at Wilber by the serious Illness
of her father.
Marguerite Heckart, '19, was called
to Red Oak, Iowa, by the death of her
grandmother.
Eda Behling, ex-'18, who has been
visiting at the Kappa house, left yes
terday for Chicago.
E. W. Nelson, '15, recently received
an appointment as head of the Fre
mont forest reserve station at Manitou,
Colorado.
Miss Lenore Burkett, who has been
visiting in the east since the first of
the year, is expected home the latter
part of this week.
Ada Morgan, 10, was called to her
home in Lincoln, from her school in
Oregon, on account of the serious ill
ness of her father.
Delta Tau Delta gave a dance at
Rosewilde hall, Friday evening. About
forty-five couples attended. Mr. O. A.
JohnBon chaperoned the party.
Kappa Sfigma gave a dancing party

nomics sorority at the national con
clave which will be held at Ames,
Iowa, April 27 and 28.
The annual Thl Beta Kappa initia
tion and banquet will be held Thurs
day evening at the Lincoln hotel.
Prof. Ross Hill of the university of
Missouri will be present.
H. C. Hansen has been elected to fill
the position of Professor F. C. Jean of
the department of Botany at Peru dur
ing Professor Jean's leave of absence.
Professor Jean will spend the year tak
ing graduate work in Botany here at
the university.
John S. Bowen, forestry ex-'16, who
spent the summer of 1915 in the Pryor
mountain division of the Beartooth
national forest, took the rangers' ex
amination last fall, passed them with
honors, and is now engaged in special
land investigations and topographic
mapping on the Beartooth range.
Albert Beekly, son of Mr. and Mrs.
W. H. Beekly and a graduate of the
university, arrived in the city Satur
day evening from Algeria, Africa,
where he is connected with S. Pearson
