Professor Getz was delayed in arriving in Lincoln, not reaching hre until midnight laBt night. He will leave late this evening for the university of Kansas. Hansen has been elected to fill the position of Professor F. C. Jean of the department of Botany at Peru dur ing Professor Jean's leave of absence. Bowen, forestry ex-'16, who spent the summer of 1915 in the Pryor mountain division of the Beartooth national forest, took the rangers' ex amination last fall, passed them with honors, and is now engaged in special land investigations and topographic mapping on the Beartooth range.
