DoBldo tho change of Convocation
hours to ho put into vogue thruout tho.
second semester there will he a
ch'ango also in tho nature of the at
tractions offered. The rogular musi
cal program will .bo retained in defer
ence to the popularity which this form
of entertainment has gained under tho
capable direction of Mrs. Raymond,
but it will be given on Thursday morn
ing breach week instead of on Friday
as at tho present time.
On Friday afternoons, howovor,
there will bo a unique feature intro-
afternoon periods will be devoted to
lectures by members of the faculty and
notable outside speakers on definite
series of topics. .More than this, tho
lectures will be longer than at present,
thus giving tho speaker, whoever' ho
may be, a really adequate period in
which to develop his subject. Tho
time given to a speaker under tho
present system Is not more than
twenty minutes at tho longest, and this
is sadly insufficient for many of tho
discussions which, are presented.
The first series of lectures will bo on
"American Statesmen.'
It lslioped that tho chango .will taeot
the approval of tho student body andH
that it will signify its pleasure by an
increased attendance at these particu
lar oxcorcises.
