' Walter Heald, who for the past two years held a fellowship In our Physics department, passed through the city a few days ago on. his way to Wash ington, D. 0., where ho has accepted a position in the Electrical department of the United States Bureau of Stand ards. The Dialect Society of America -that has been working vigorously for some years on a dialect dictionary, has re cently requested the co-operation of 'Miss Louise Pound, associate, profes sor in English Language and Litera ture.
