Ono managing editor to bo chosen
from the senior class of tho Law
School, as that school soes fit, who
will have general charge of tho Law
department. This managing editor,
together with tho president of his
class, will solect his staff from tho
Law School and from time to tlmo
make such changes thoreln as he sees
fit.
Tho artists will bo selected by the
odltor-ln-chlef in consultation with his
three- managing editors and with tho
business manager.
Tho ordinary board or litterateurs
shall bo chosen jointly from the" two
upper classes.
II. Business Management.
Tho business management shall con
sist of ono business manager chosen
from tho senior class, with two assist
ants from the' Junior. (Whorover tho
words "senior class" aro used in this
plan they Bhall be understood to mean
tho class that graduates In tho year of
publication of tho annual. The words
"junior class" shall moan the class
(lhat graduates the succeeding year.)
The above board shall have full and
complete charge, excopt as such" Is
curtailed In these resolutions, of the
management of tho book.
III. Selection of Board.
Tho editor-in-chief shall bo nomi
nated by tho president of tho senior
class after consultation with the fac
ulty. This appointmont shall be in
valid unless confirmed by a majority
of the class. If tho president's" flrst
nomination Is rejected ho shall con;
tinuo nominntlonsjmui nn acceptable"

shall bo mado as early as. practical in
Fobruary of Ihe year before, tho an
nual is to bo published.
Tho business manager Bhall bo
chosen In tho samo manner from the

any buslnoss manager shall bo Invalid
unless ratified by the edltor-iivchlef.
The managing editor shall bo select
ed In a similar manner from tho class
that graduates In the year succeeding
tho publication of tho annual, but such
selections shall bo Invalid unless rati
fied by tho editor-ln-chiof. If, aftor
eight trials, It shall appear that thero
Is a deadlock between tho selecting
class and tho editor-ln-chiof, that edi
tor and the presldontrot tho selecting
class shall choose the managing edi
tors. ,
The t twoassIstant business mana
gers shall bo, chosen in n slmilnr man
nor from tho samo class, the appoint
ment to bo ratified by tho business
manager. -.
The romnlnder of the staff shall bo
selected from the two classes Jointly
by tho odltor-In-chlof and the manag
ing editors In consultation with the
two respective clnss presidents. Tho
editor-in-chief shall make such
changes as hosoes fit from timb to'
time in the portion of tho staff thus
selectod.
IV. General -Management.
Tho' business manager shall keep or
cause to bo kept a set of books show
ing ail receipts and pxpondltures to
date. Such books Bhall at all times
bp open to tho inspection of tho fac
ulty auditing committee. If this com
mittee should discover an attempt .to
deliberately falsify this account, the
class recommends that tho guilty
.party or parties be. expelled from the
University nnd that such notice of 'ex
pulsion bo posted on the bulletin
boards. ' '
Aftor all bills havo been settled nnd
all other mombers of the board re
ceive compensation which is Jus.t and
reasonable under all- duo circum
stances, the, balance shall bo divided
between the edItor:in-chlef nnd tho
business managor, "in all questions
of due compensation the faculty audit
ing committee shall bo final nrb'Itor,
but tho above division of proceeds Is
recommended to It.
Wo rccommond that If the faculty
auditing committeo sees fit to punish
graft or ombozzlement by expulsion,
such expulsion nnd tho cause thereof
bo mado public. Bo it further
Resolved, That upon passage of tho
abovo resolutions that "the socretary
of the senior class is hereby instruct
ed to procure and dellvor copies of
the same with a statement of tho ac
tion of iho class of 1906 upon them,
and with a recommondatlon for Hko
action upon their part to tho presi
dents of tho junior,' sophomore nnd
freshman classes, and also to the
presidents of the senlorjjunlor and
freshman law classes- of tho Univer
sity of Nebraska.
